Welcome to the MCCOGS Website!

The Montgomery County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society website is designed to allow our members to engage with each other as they trace their ancestors, find information to enter in their family trees (RootsMagic, Legacy Family Tree, FamilySearch.org, Ancestry etc.), and discover their family histories. We want to make this site a dynamic experience where members can share with and learn from one another. Here are just a few ways to engage on this site today:

All Programs Are Virutal Using Zoom

We will continue to have our programs via Zoom until such time that the Library is able to open for group meetings.
An email will be sent to all members with the link for the Zoom meeting one or two days before the date of the meeting. Up Coming Programs are to the right and all of our programs are listed on the Event Page.

Coming in 2021! Jackson Township Cemeteries

The Montgomery County Chapter OGS is pleased to announce that a new cemetery book will be published in 2021.  The new book will be a compilation of readings and pictures from all Jackson Township cemeteries in Montgomery County, Ohio.
Listed to the left are the 13 cemeteries that will be included in the book.  When the weather clears in Spring 2021, we will continue verifying readings and documenting new information.
In the meantime, we have many cemetery books available for other townships in Montgomery County.  Check out our Publications page, which describes each book.  See the following link to place an order.  And be sure to watch for the announcement about our new book!
