All publications and products produced by the Montgomery County Chapter OGS can be purchased here online using a credit card with PayPal or PayPal.
You are not required to have a PayPal or Stripe account to purchase items using the online system.
Items can also be purchased by printing and mailing the Publications Order Form along with your payment.
To purchase any of the items below, select the desired quantity and click the corresponding "Add to Cart" button. A new window for PayPal or Stripe will open and the items you are ordering will be displayed. To continue shopping, select Continue Shopping, or if you are ready to check out, select Checkout. You have the option of removing items from your cart by selecting Remove while viewing your cart. At anytime during the order process you can see what is in your cart by selecting View Cart.
A one-time $3.00 Base Shipping Charge is applied to all orders. Added to the $3.00 Base Shipping Charge is an additional Shipping/Handling charge, if applicable, per item.
All residents of Ohio are required to pay 7.5% Ohio sales tax.
For PayPal and Stripe transactions - Ohio sales tax will be computed automatically by PalPal during the checkout process and will be included in your final confirmation of the transaction.

Harrison Township (Now Dayton), Montgomery County - New Greencastle Cemetery
Contains 388 pages of burials, including a full name index. It lists 11,789 burials that are contained in the records of the cemetery, arranged by section and lot. Readings of existing tombstones are included with the corresponding burial records. The records are also enhanced with information from newspaper obituaries and county death records. Also available in printed book.

Cemetery Atlas, Montgomery County, Ohio (by Township)
This book contains an update to a prior book by BOWMAN. The update adds several newly located cemeteries and adds new information for several of the original entries. The book lists the location (GPS, street map, and earth coordinates) for all presently known cemeteries in Montgomery County, OH.

A database of 30,000 entries lists the names, years, and reference sources of people living in Montgomery and Greene Counties prior to 1811.

German Church Records - Montgomery County, Ohio, Volume I
Records from three churches are contained, including Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Germantown, OH Salem's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ellerton, OH, and Slifer's Reformed Church in Jackson Township. For privacy considerations, a cutoff date of 1920 has been observed for all records except deaths and funerals.
An every name, full name index is provided at the back. The earliest entries were recorded in the 1820's. Funeral records have been enhanced with information from cemetery records, many of which are unpublished. The book contains 346 pages.

German Church Records - Montgomery County, Ohio, Volume II
Contains records from the First (German) Reformed Church of Miamisburg, now known as Trinity United Church of Christ. In addition, the personal records of three early ministers have been incorporated, which often covered activities at other churches and locations, particularly, Germantown and “Bear Creek” (Ellerton). Specifically, the records of Rev. Isaac Reiter, who headed the “Miamisburg Charge,” include those of the other three churches in the Charge. These were St. John’s (Gebhart), Farmersville, and Salem in Springboro, Warren County. In this way, “lost” records of these several churches are preserved, providing an exceptional resource. An every name, full name index is provided at the back. The earliest entries were recorded in 1836. The records have been edited and arranged for consistency. Funeral records have been enhanced with information from cemetery records, many of which are unpublished. The book contains 254 pages.

Miami Valley Ohio - A Genealogical Index of Pioneers (Print Version)
Second Edition of an important genealogical resource, originally written by Lindsay M. Brien, and published in 1970. This is a compilation of material collected by the original author, for her newspaper column, "Our Forefathers: Genealogy of Miami Valley Families." Her column appeared each Sunday in the Dayton Journal, from 1933 through 1939, and covered pioneer families through the 19th Century. Information is arranged alphabetically by family name and county, and includes a full name index. Soft cover, 8.5 x 11 inches. Also available on CD.

Originally printed in 1850 and reprinted in 1987 by the Montgomery County Chapter, OGS. 133 pages with maps and illustrations. The first city directory with citizens occupations and residences -- also extensive historical excerpts, starting in the late 1700's, with first settlers, Indians, floods, cholera epidemics, building the Miami and Erie Canal, railroads, and economic development.
