American Ancestors (NEHGS)

AmericanAncestors.org by the New England Historic Genealogical Society (NEHGS) is an on-line repository of databases. A FREE Guest membership will give one access to 34 databases & more. If one has New England ancestors, this is a great place to start researching.

American Veteran Heritage Center

The American Veterans Heritage Center, Inc. (AVHC), is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to honor the accomplishments of veterans while preserving a priceless piece of national and local history - The Central Branch National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers was established in 1867 at the end of the Civil War. The Soldier's Home and the National Cemetery are located on the grounds of the VA Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. Click the link to explore the grounds including the famous Garden Grotto. The Brethren Heritage Center (BHC) located in Brookville, Ohio is a historical archive for printed materials and artifacts connected to a variety of Christian groups that trace their roots to a specific group baptism in Schwarzenau, Germany in 1708.
