Mayflower Facts and “Silver Books”: First Five Generations of Mayflower Descendants with Beth Anderson
Beth Anderson, immediate past Governor of the “Society of Mayflower Descendants in the state of Ohio” will provide a brief history of the Mayflower Story as well as how to make use of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants (GSMD) website. Beth's presentation will include how to use the Mayflower “Silver Books” that are available at the Dayton Metro Library's main branch in the Genealogy section.

2026 Preble County History & Genealogy Fair
Join the Preble County Historical Society for its annual Fall Gathering and History & Genealogy Fair on Saturday, October 17, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 7693 Swartsel Rd., Eaton, OH 45320.
This annual event brings together local historians, genealogists, museums, historical societies, libraries, and community organizations to celebrate the rich history and heritage of Preble County and the surrounding region.
Organizations are invited to participate as exhibitors by hosting an informational table featuring publications, exhibits, research resources, educational materials, upcoming events, or other items of interest. It's an excellent opportunity to connect with individuals who share a passion for local history, genealogy, preservation, and lifelong learning.
