Genealogy Panel Discussion with Questions & Answers
The Montgomery County Chapter OGS has the honor of hosting a genealogy panel discussion, along with a question-and-answer session, on June 13 at the normally scheduled meeting time. The panel discussion will feature experienced genealogists sharing short stories about their own genealogical paths, discussing strategies on researching, organizing, and publishing family histories, and covering topics such as DNA analysis and breaking through “brick walls.”
Come prepared to not only ask questions about your own roadblocks, but to find out more on topics such as:
- Self-Publishing: Tips on organizing research, choosing narratives, and publishing family histories
- AI and Technology: Using AI as an assistant to analyze DNA, interpret records, and accelerate your research
- Engagement Strategies: Methods for getting family members interested in genealogy
- Specialized Research: Focus areas like military research, genealogy across the seas, lineage society applications
Join Panel Moderator, Garry Knight, and our panelists at 1:30 p.m. for a lively discussion about genealogy!
