FUNERAL OF ISAAC VAN AUSDAL SATURDAY
Following beautifully impressive funeral services Saturday morning at 9 o'clock, the remains of the late Isaac Van Ausdal were taken to Eaton and there laid to final rest. The Rev. Dr. M. E. Wilson, pastor at the First United Presbyterian church, officiated at the services, which were held in the old Van Ausdal home in Dayton View. A quartet, consisting of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Bimm, Mrs. H. E. Talbot and Mr. H. V. Lytle, sang two sympathetic numbers, "Rock of Ages" and "Nearer My God to Thee." Some very beautiful floral tributes were received, one coming from the employees of the store of which the deceased was the head for so many years. The remains were conveyed to Eaton in a special car, accompanied by members of the family and a few others. The honorary pall bearers were: Dr. J. C. Reeve, Messrs. G. W. Shaw, J. W. Darat, D. A. Houk, Rufus J. King, Joseph Kennedy, W. M. Mills and J. A. Robert. The following employees of [illegible] Van Audsal acted as active pall bearers: J. H. Scheffel, J. K. Baker, J. O. Cusick, George Helmick, J. H. Barlow and O. J. Legler.

SOUTH LUDLOW ST. WOMAN IS DEAD
The death of Mrs. Blanche Fred Van Horn, 41, wife of Harvey Van Horn, occurred at the residence, 616 South Ludlow street, Wednesday night at 11:10 o'clock. She had been ill about two years.
Mrs. Van Horn was well known in the city, where she had lived all her life. Before her marriage she was Miss Blanche Allen. She belonged to the First U.B. church.
Surviving her are her husband, Harvey, and one daughter, Mrs. L. E. Kearns.
The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence, burial being made in Woodland cemetery.

RESIDENT HERE 20 YEARS DIES
Daniel Van Ober died Wednesday afternoon at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Emma Trautman, R. R. 5, Beardshear rd. A former resident of Owensboro, Ky., he had resided in Dayton for the past 20 years. His illness started with a fractured ankle. He had been bedfast ever since.
Surviving him are five daughters and two sons. They are: Mrs. Fannie Beismer, Mrs. Sally Mordock of Louisville, Mrs. Amanda Beach, Mrs. Jean Arndt, Mrs. Trautman, Stanley and Jack Van Ober; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a brother, Mose Van Ober of Owensboro, Ky.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Trautman residence and burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.

VanRiper, Charles W., 68, of 720 Elberon Ave. a Holy Name Society member, a former employee of NCR and a 25 year club member who retired in 1972 after 31 years of service, died Friday. He was the father of Ruth E. nee Hill; father of V. Jerome and Mrs. Jerald N. (Charlene) Schirmer and grandfather of four. Funeral 10 a.m. Wednesday from Harris Funeral Home 49 Linden Ave. and 10:30 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Burial Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Wednesday.

RETIRED DAYTON ARCHITECT DEAD
Private funeral services for John P. Vance, 81, of 621 N. Main st., who died Tuesday night at Miami Valley hospital, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Whitmer Bros. funeral parlors, 704 N. Main st. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery.
A retired architect, he had been a resident of Dayton for the past 35 years.
Surviving are one son, Burch, Cincinnati; a daughter, Mae Q. Vance; one sister, Mrs. Seneca Murphy, Wilmington, and three grandchildren.
Caroline Vaubel

LIFE RESIDENT OF CITY DIES
Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Vaubel, 82, who died suddenly Friday morning at her home, 247 Oak st., will be held Monday at 8:30 a.m. at the residence and at 9 a.m. from Emmanuel church. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
She was the widow of Jacob Vaubel, of the hardware firm of Hemberger and Vaubel, who died seven years ago. A lifelong resident of Dayton, she had lived in South Park for the past 50 years. She was a member of the Catholic Ladies of St. George, the Tabernacle society, and the St. Clara Altar society.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Isabell Brown and Anna Vaubel; three sons, Charles, Monroe, La.; Urban, Detroit, and Leo, Dayton; a brother, George Bierlein, Detroit, and three grandchildren.
